How are skateboard and longboard wheels manufactured?

Pigment is added to polyurethane during the melting process to create polyurethane wheels. Molds are filled with liquid and cooled. Using a lathe, the polyurethane wheels are cut to a specified size once they have solidified in the mold. Are longboard wheels different than skateboard wheels?
